Man Utd given major boost as update on Yan Diomande transfer ‘deal’ released

Liverpool and Man Utd transfer target Yan Diomande does not have a “personal agreement” in place regarding a possible move to Anfield this summer, according to reports.

An X account, Bayern Space, had claimed that there were rumors suggesting the Merseyside club were the hot favorites to sign the teenager, but a source speaking to Team discussion refuted these claims:

“So far, nothing has been agreed. The only thing we know at the moment is that Yan is determined to help Leipzig finish in the top four before then focusing on the World Cup with Ivory Coast.”

“There’s no denying the interest, no one has. But let’s see how the coming months go.”

Diomande has many suitors

The Red Devils and Liverpool are by no means the only clubs interested in recruiting the Ivorian international. Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle also sent scouts to monitor the winger.

On the continent, the likes of Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Barcelona have also been mentioned as potential suitors for Diomande.

Man Utd will have to pay a significant sum for the player

Leipzig have slapped a valuation of around €100m (£87m) on Diomande, but as already highlighted, a lot depends on whether the club will finish in the Champions League places.

The Bundesliga side currently sit in 5th place, two points behind Stuttgart in the bottom UCL spot, and if they end up failing in their battle for a top-four finish, they may have to lower their price for Diomande.

Of course, even then there could be a lot of competition, which could end up increasing the price, but getting the player’s approval will be the most important thing, and for now it doesn’t seem like the youngster has a preference, despite claims to the contrary.
