Man Utd and Spurs named among England star’s £52m ‘suitors’ as he signals openness to summer move

West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen is ‘very keen’ to leave the London Stadium, with Man Utd and Tottenham both closely monitoring his situation, according to reports.

Team discussion claims the Red Devils “could target” the England international if he looks to move at the end of the season.

Bowen is currently committed to keeping the Hammers in the Premier League, but things could change if the London club are relegated.

The 29-year-old has more than four years remaining on his contract which he signed in 2023, but his commitment would be seriously tested if his current side lose their elite status.

Bowen price could drop

The striker’s current market value stands at around €60m (£52m) but his asking price would be much lower if West Ham find themselves in the Championship.

Of course, there is no guarantee at this stage that Bowen’s side will be relegated. Their form has improved significantly over the last couple of months, and ahead of this weekend’s game they are now just two points from safety.

A lot can still happen between now and the final game in May, but it looks like the winger’s signing could potentially be up for grabs.

Man Utd have no shortage of options on the right flank

A significant factor that would prevent United from making a bid for Bowen is the presence of Bryan Mbeumo, Amad and Patrick Dorgu in the first team.

All three players are left-handed and favor the right wing, just like Bowen. Although Mbeumo has been used most often at central level by Michael Carrick, that doesn’t mean he can’t also be used out wide.

Most observers expect the Red Devils to sign another player for the left flank this summer, making any bid for Bowen much less likely.
