Man United ‘reaches agreement’ to complete first summer transfer deal

Man United have reportedly completed their first summer transfer deal, even though it’s only February.

Man United manager Michael Carrick is currently working towards the Red Devils finishing in the Champions League places and returning the Red Devils to Europe’s top competition for next season.

Carrick has done an incredible job so far. Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Everton was their fifth win in six games under Carrick, and they now sit fourth in the Premier League table, just three points behind Aston Villa in third place.

If Carrick stays at United, the club will need to back him in the transfer market ahead of a Champions League campaign this summer. It is understood that they have already taken their first step.

Man United reach agreement to sell Bayindir

According to reports in Turkey, Man United have reached an agreement for their first deal of the summer transfer window, as they have agreed to sell goalkeeper Altay Bayindir to Besiktas before the window opens in July.

Turkish media outlet Fanatik reports that Besiktas and Man United have agreed a deal including a £4.3 million transfer fee for the Turkish goalkeeper. He should move as soon as the window opens in summer.

Bayindir started this season as United’s first-choice goalkeeper after Andre Onana left on loan to join Trabzonspor in the summer. However, the Red Devils signed Senne Lammens and so Bayindir quickly became the second choice option at Old Trafford and has made limited appearances since.

So far this season, the 27-year-old has made six appearances for United, all in the Premier League before Lammens was brought into the squad.

He conceded 11 goals in those six games and failed to keep a clean sheet, in what proved to be disappointing performances. Bayindir has been at Old Trafford since 2023, when the Red Devils signed him from Fenerbahce for £4.3million.
