Michael Owen insists Man Utd should be considered genuine title contenders for the 2026/27 campaign.
The former United striker was asked his opinion on who could challenge reigning champions Arsenal and he responded. Michael CarrickThe players should be considered “dark horses” due to their form in recent months:
“I think a challenge next season will only come from Manchester. I think Man City will be strong, even if Pep leaves, they have run Arsenal very closely this season and have a good group of young players who have shown they will be in a title race next season and with two domestic cups they will come back stronger.”
“And it’s been a while, but Manchester United can be a title contender under Michael Carrick. You look at their form since he arrived and he’s definitely one of the title contenders…”
“Given how long it has been since Manchester United challenged for the title, Manchester United may be a dark horse. After finishing bottom half under Amorim last year, Michael Carrick came in and did a great job to get Man Utd to finish 3rd, so there is room for them to improve further and mount a serious challenge for the title.”
What are the chances of Man Utd winning the title?
Bookmakers currently place the Red Devils as fourth favorites behind Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool. Their price is between 6/1 and 15/2.
No team has a chance of finishing at the top of the standings. Arsenal are priced between 6/4 and 13/8, City are at odds of 5/2, with Liverpool still slightly more than United (between 5/1 and 11/2).
Strengthening the team is key
It is worth pointing out that the club only played one game a week under Carrick, which undoubtedly helped in terms of performances and results.
The return of the Champions League to Old Trafford means matches will be played every few days. It will therefore only be possible to claim the title if the team is considerably strengthened. THE Ederson’s pursuit of Atalanta seems to suggest that the club is very serious about adding numbers as soon as possible.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
