Aerial sports Pundit Gary Neville believes Man Utd should ‘look at’ Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha to bolster their options in the middle of the park.
The 25-year-old attracted attention with his performances for Germany at the World Cup, and Neville suggested his former club would be wise to consider the midfielder before spending almost £100 million on West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes:
“The more he plays like he did the other night, the more he will cost. But at the moment we hear that Manchester United are offering £100 million for Fernandes, the West Ham boy, so they are going to have to look around this tournament and in parts of Europe.”
“He looked amazing the other night; he looked like he had everything.”
Man Utd sought midfielder
It was reported earlier this week by Sky Germany that the Red Devils have Nmecha on their radar, with Manchester City and Real Madrid also interested in him.
For their part, Dortmund are reluctant to let him leave, having tied him to a new four-year contract earlier this year, but the Bundesliga side could still be tempted to sell if they receive a high enough fee.

Nmecha’s price is lower than Fernandes’
Reports suggest Dortmund could be willing to part ways with the Germany international if they receive an offer in the region of €70m (£60.7m).
This means he could cost almost £20m less than United’s current best midfielder Fernandes. However, as Neville rightly points out, Dortmund could very easily increase their valuation.
Another source in the German media has claimed that Nmecha could end up on the market for €120m (£104m), demonstrating just how crazy things can get in a World Cup year.
